Harvey Daniels was born in London and studied at the Brighton College of Art, Brighton the Slade in London and Willesden School of Art. His work has been described as having the 'visionary intensity of the seer or magician' and, being 'one of the most joyous and colourful of post Kandinsky oeuvres' - using art to communicate joy and energy and humanity’s positive potential. In 2002 he was asked to design a piece for Cowparade in aid of the charity Childline. This 'Decorative Cow' was on parade at Gloucester Road Underground Station and was auctioned at Sotheby's in London. Several solo exhibitions have been mounted by him since 1963, showing throughout Europe, USA and the UK and his award winning work is shown in public collections including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, and the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA), New York City. Harvey lives and works in Brighton and Hove.
